An evening you don’t want to miss! With our friends The Tudor Roses.
The Anchor Boys, Juniors, Seniors and Band all got together this evening to present the 2010 Christmas concert, raising money for Action for Children. Sketches, singing, carols, a Duke of Edinburgh presentation and a talk from Action for Children was enjoyed by all.
Band and Training Band are running this evening!
Please drive carefully.
The band were asked to play for this remembrance service at Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church. The band received many positive comments, particularly Polly, who played the
Last Post “like it’s played on TV” said one member of the congregation.
The service also included a first hand account of being in a Japanese PoW camp. Babs, 9 at the time, was interred for 3 years. She said that even though it was a terrible time, the kindness of one Japanese shone through when he managed to find extra supplies of milk for one of the babies who was dying of malnourishment.
We are proud to announce that we raised a grand total of £1,075 with the help of the Tudor Roses.
